Handfest Markt in Reutlingen

Hello everybody!

At the weekend the 5th handfestmarkt in Reutlingen took place. And this year I attended too! It was my second craft market experience. The location was a parking garage on the Wendler Areal in Reutlingen.

My husband helped me to set up my stand on Friday morning while our little daughter was in Kindergarten.

Unbenannt-4I had booked to meters and what should I say, I have to many products for a 2 meter table:-) It was pretty cramped at first but after some arrangements it all looked good and inviting! And the whole unspectacular garage transformed to a beautiful, colourful happy place on Friday night after all the artists and crafts people had set up their stand. It was such a lovely atmosphere when I came there on Saturday morning! And I loved being part of it!

The doors opened at 11 am on Saturday. I was pretty excited and a little bit nervous because my very first market experience (at the beatbasar in spring this year in Heidelberg) was not what I had expected to be… BUT YES! this weekend in Reutlingen was such a success for me! I am HAPPY that my designs and products were so liked and loved and so many people took my things back home with them! … And oh, I feel so honoured: so many people asked me where my shop is! Thank you!!!! That’s my absolut dream…having my own little shop in town!… someday…!

Late on Saturday evening when I came back home, work was not over. I made more of the advent calender stickers and new postcards and gift tags to refill my stock for the next day because the market was really well attended and on Sunday even more people came than on Saturday. I didn’t expected so many people ALL DAY LONG! So the extra work a night was worth it! And one of the motifs of the winter postcards was so popular, it was even sold out at the end. Great!

So many nice customers and shoppers visited me at my stand. A BIG THANK YOU to all who came and bought Perunoto products! I received so many nice words and smiles, and had good talks and a great feedback!

All the other exhibitors they presented their products with so much love in detail! Really lovely and great things! There was a big variety from pottery, flowers, paper and textile goods, children clothes, bags, cushions, furniture, handmade soaps, liqueur, marmelade to felted finger puppets… there was something for everybody!

And I just LOVED the felted finger puppets from www.faser-verbund.de. OMG they are full of character and it’s almost impossible to choose one! Such great work!

I already knew the blog from septembermorgen and met the nice Katja in person at the market. She also had a stand with beautiful illustrated children cushions and postcards and stickers… Was nice to meet you!

I bought a wooden „Räucherhaus“ for my daughter as Christmas is not far anymore>> sorry I don’t know the name in english. It’s a typical traditional german christmas craft from the Erzgebirge where you can put an incense cone inside and the smoke is coming out of the chimney then… See it here, so beautiful! >>Hello Julia! It was nice being your neighbour at the market!

And then I also got to know the lovely owner from anna’s kaufladencafe in stuttgart and had a nice talk with her! THANK YOU, I’ll come visit you in your shop soon!

And the last thank you is for Eva and Annette, the two nice owners of the handfest shop in Reutlingen and organizers of the craft market! I had lovely and brilliant two days with you!

See you soon!

BLOG HOP WINTER 2014

Welcome to my website if you have arrived here from Lindsay Buck’s blog. I hope you’ve already enjoyed all the things you’ve seen so far and you’ll be hopping till the end!

When I first saw the christmas trend reports for holiday season 2014 I instantly fell in love with the monochrome colour designs and the black and white minimalistic handmade touch.

So.. I thought I will use my favourite black brush pen from Japan (LOVE LOVE LOVE it!) and then I  was painting and drawing so many many papers with christmas and winter related things. …My husband is on a business trip in Tokyo right now and I hope he doesn’t forget to bring some of these pens with him back home:-)

I was inspired by nature things like christmas trees/woods/winter activities/skiing/snowballs/fir cones/reindeers and folky crafts like the in Germany very famous traditionell crafts from the Erzgebirge with their minimalistic shapes. So I wanted to keep my designs for this collection also minimal and simplified with a strong personality. Hope you like it!

So here is my Collection for Christmas 2014

I’ve had a fun time designing these…

… and round stickers for your DIY advent calenders which I will be selling at a craft market at the end of November in Germany…(they are also available in my DaWanda Shop/Germany).

Adventskalender-Zahlen_02Some of the Designs I’ve already created for the Make it in Design live brief of Dashwood Studio in Summer, but I recoloured them as I didn’t like the colours anymore and added some more designs. This was a last minute project but I am planning to add greeting cards and a few more useful things for Christmas from this Collection to my shop.

So! Now it’s time to leave my blog and hop over to Jess Paynes using the NEXT button below…Have fun and enjoy all the projects everyone has made…! THANK YOU for reading!
